We can make diamonds using the Earth’s inner forces, extreme pressure and heat. We simply send Carbon Blocks in tubes, which have been drilled into the Earth’s Mantle. Then let them return under the pressure built up in the tube and you will be able to make diamonds. Why would we wish to make diamonds? We can make diamonds for wealth to pay off our national debt, for nation building or even feeding starving Africans or perhaps poor South Americans in our own backyard?

Besides the obvious economic uses of diamonds for profit, we also can use diamonds as light energy batteries, computer processing with light, energy frequency manipulations and manufacturing. Diamonds are very hard and dense and can assist us for blocking radiation in space stations, cutting and we can still have plenty left over for jewelry; a girls best friend?

How can we drill into that region of Mother Earth? The fact is we already are:

http://www.livescience.com/technology/050407_earth_drill.html

Now we need to send in tubes like the bank teller tubes for the drive up; canisters, which contain blocks of carbon the shapes we need to make diamonds in the sizes and dimensions for our various needs. Shoot them down into the tube with rockets and then wait for them to shoot back out completely “Diamond-ized” and ready to use to serve mankind. Think on this.

“Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.” is a best-known Japanese maker of clockworks and wrist watches placed in Tokyo (Japan). Citizen has been mainly chartered as Shokosha Watch Research Institute in the year 1918. The business concern was built in 1924 when the first product, a tiny pocket watch named Citizen, was placed on the market. In 1930 the firm assumed the name Citizen Watch Company, too. The founding fathers once have been selected the name Citizen because they tried to find a direct way to the peoples spirit. This is still today the notion behind wrist watches constructed by Citizen.

First watch with Eco-Drive - Models reaching from dress to athletics

For Example the debut Japanese wrist watch including a wake-up-function was established by Citizen in 1958. In the 1970ties Citizen developed the debut quartz watches with LCD display and after that also the thinnest LCD wrist watch ever. In the early 1990ties Citizen started the premier series production of watchcases consisting of titanium. In addition to that, they designed the leadoff voice recognition watch which was another big milestone in their history. More than that that the company was an outrider in producing dive watches for professional use. A highlight was the included bathometer - no one else was able to offer a similar unique function. Additional, Citizen is famous for its Eco-Drive collection of light powered wrist watches. Fuelled simply by light, it doesn’t require any batteries. Designs reaching from dress to athletics (e.g. professional dive watches), Citizen offers a collection for everybody and every occasion.

Even those who make that choice to wear specs agree that specs can be a bit cumbersome at times. The shape at the bridge is the most important aspect of determining comfort and is where the source of aggravation often stems. These types of spectacles often leave red marks on the nose because they grip too tightly. This can make them very hard to wear.

Which leaves the question of what types of specs offer the most comfort to those who chose spectacles over contacts?

Plastic specs

Plastic specs are economical, stylish and above all, they can be comfortable when made correctly. How comfortable? Well, this can largely depend on the make, model and style of the frames. E.g., cat eye frame glasses are said to be easy to wear, whereas larger, boxier frames are heavier and harder to keep from sliding. Constantly having to push glasses up can be awkward and far from comfortable. Plastic isn’t the only material that eyeglasses are made out of though. It is these other materials that often offer greater comfort than plastic can.

An example of another material is:

Titanium eyes eyeglasses can run a bit on the pricey side if you get true titanium eyeglasses that are well made and not imitation. The expense is not without cause! Titanium eye eyeglasses are generally light weight, corrosion repellent and can take being sat on! They can also give a snug fit on the nose, keeping them from slipping. This feature is one of many aspects that enhance comfort for the wearer. They are also highly hardy and come in a large variety of shapes and colors.

No more pushing your specs back into place 101 times a day! Out of all the above glasses, true Flexon memory metal is the highest, with frames starting in at around $80.00 and springing upwards towards the higher end hundreds.

Purchasing specs is such a personal choice however. This is why alongside other considerations, like affordability, style, and what the glasses say about you, comfort is an issue. Indeed, buying your specs is an important decision which, for a number of reasons, should never be entered into lightly.

Pocket Watches were overtaken by wristwatches in popularity after World War I, although they do seem to be making a comeback! It was a status symbol in the old days before the advent of wristwatches your average Joe could not afford a Pocket-Watch. One thing that might have had a direct bearing on the down-fall of popularity of these marvelous time pieces was that they were being given away for retirement. Thus people associated them with retirement which is associated with old age or obsolescence.

Vintage pocket watches are actually a sound investment, if you’re a knowledgeable or savvy buyer. What I have always found fascinating about the pocket watch is the absolute beauty and uniqueness of them. My father still swears by them and has no use for any other sort of time piece. Today’s pocket time-pieces are well made and you can find an absolute plethora of design options with chronographically enhanced features. These types of watches are quite unique and using them does enable you to make a statement of personal expression. These modern day Pocket-Watches are simply beautiful and are a marvelous conversation peace. They may also break a nasty habit of staring at your wrist.

The pocket watch was invented by Peter Henlein of Nuremberg Germany in 1510. The first pocket style watches were in fact carried in your hand as they were made of iron. They would have been quite the anchor if carried in your pocket. To make the watch a bit more appealing they started using different materials in order to make them more light and elegant, then a rope was attached and they were hung about the neck. Eventually the watches got a bit lighter and migrated down to pockets. The display is traditionally analog. Pocket watches generally have a chain to be secured to a belt loop (the chain or ornaments on it being know as fobs), as well as a hinged cover to protect the face of the watch. Such covers are not always present. Also common are fasteners designed to be put through a buttonhole and worn is a jacket or waistcoat, this sort being frequently associated with and named after train conductors.

Men’ Pocket-watches are commonly regarded as being one of two types: the lepine or the savonette. In a strict technical sense, the lepine is a watch whose winding stem is in line with the seconds-marking dial found on the face. The savonette has winding stem perpendicular to the orientation of the seconds dial on the face of the watch.

A lepine is traditionally an open-faced watch with a large, scratch resistant crystal covering the face. A savonette is commonly found in a “hunter” or “consular” case, with a protective lid hinged over the face. A consular case is further differentiated by the fact the back case is also hinged so that the watch movement can be easily separated from both halves of its protective cover.

Modern manufacturers of pocket watches, especially those watches with a quartz movement, are not bound by tradition when regarding the orientation of movements (lepine or savonette) and the cases they are inserted into (open-faced or hunter). It is possible today to find watches with lepine orientation in a closed faced hunter case, and vice versa.

It never hurts to be well-informed in regards to Pocket Watches. I trust this has cleared the air somewhat!

1. I can’t help myself but to keep on emphasizing this to anyone who wants to buy a diamond online: LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT DIAMONDS! Sorry, I don’t mean to shout. But in reality, many people are still very ignorant about diamond, believe it a not, there are jewelers who are unable to differentiate a diamond cut from a diamond shape. Everyone is so hyped up about the carat weight and has totally forgotten about the other 3 characteristics of a diamond.

Still unconvinced? Here’s another great reason to start learning about diamonds. Remember this saying: “Diamonds are women’s best friend.”? You want to win your girl’s heart with her ‘best friend’s’ help and yet you do not know anything about a diamond? You might even get yourself scammed before you even present the stone to her.

Anyway you aren’t trying to get a qualification in gemology, so it won’t take you years or months to learn something about diamond. There are plenty of articles and information on the 4C of a diamond. Spend some useful time in the library or internet and learn about diamonds. Who knows, you may become an expert in diamonds.

2. Prioritize the 4 characteristics. There are much more about diamonds than just the 4C. But at the end of the day, the 4Cs are still the major factors influencing the quality and price of a diamond.

Before you start prioritizing the 4Cs, you got to know what your girl actually likes about a diamond. If she like big one, go for a diamond with big carat weight but with poorer quality in terms of color, cut or clarity. If she likes the brilliance of a diamond and doesn’t mind the size, choose one with excellent cut and clarity. Whichever the case is, prioritizing the 4Cs will give you a better idea of what diamonds will suit her taste as well as your budget.

3. With your list, do some price research at the jewelry retail stores. Based on your list, the dealers should be able to give you a rough estimate on the market price. If the price is out of your budget, try to go for a grade lower than your expectation and you may eventually find one that suits you well.

Another alternative is to purchase online jewelry stores. Online jewelry stores make use of technologies to cut down on expenses and hence they are able to offer you much competitive prices, about 30% lower than average US retail price. The top online jewelry stores often have excellent search engine to save you the time and trouble of searching and comparing diamonds prices.

4. Whether you are buying diamond offline or online, being comfortable with the dealer is very important. If you found online jewelry stores or retail stores with great prices and feel tempted to take out your card and start buying anything, cool down first.

If you have been doing researching, you would have come across information on cubic zirconium diamonds. These synthetic diamonds are D-color graded, flawless and cut to perfection. In short, a CZ diamond is a ‘perfect’ diamond. It is brilliant, flawless and yet cheap. Their prices do not increase exponentially with their quality unlike diamonds.

There are also some natural diamonds which have undergone treatments to reduce its blemishes thus enhanced its appearance. It is still a low grade diamond but dishonest dealers may try to pass it off as a good graded diamond and sell you at a higher price.

Before you start swiping your hard-earned money away, do some research about the jeweler as well. Ask your family, relatives or friend who have purchased from the dealer. Online forum is a good place to ask around and there are plenty of sites that review on jewelry store online. Give the jewelry store a visit or call their hotline, talk to their staffs and decide for yourself if you are comfortable with the store.

5. Always remember to ask for a money back guarantee. Especially if you are intending to buy online, be doubly sure the store has the complete details about their return policy, which should include information about the validity period, what to do if you wish to return your purchase and their address. As a rule of thumb, online stores should offer you no less than 21 days return policy. In fact, most of them have a return policy of 30 days.

6. Remember to ask about the grading report as well. Certified diamond should come along with a grading report by reputable gemology organizations such as GIA or AGS. Some dealers certified their diamond by in-house gemologists and they may be using different grading standards from GIA or AGS. After you have purchase your diamond, get it appraised again with the grading report by a trained gemologist.

Amongst all of the traditions we use in matrimonial ceremonies and celebrations, none is more familiar or meaningful than the wedding ring. The time honored tradition of couples wearing bands to signify their unyielding love and devotion for one another goes back perhaps farther than recorded history. In modern tradition, the wedding ring is typically a band of 18 karat gold, but that tradition has changed in recent years. Today there are many more designs in wedding rings available than there were even as recently as when your parents were married. The traditional plain gold bands are still available, of course, but so are more intricate and ornate designs, as well as bands made of white gold, platinum, and a popular new choice: titanium. In fact, titanium wedding rings are getting more and more popular and there are several reasons for this phenomenon.

Most certainly a part of the reason for the steady increase in the use of titanium wedding rings is the price. Titanium wedding rings cost considerably less than gold or platinum rings but are every bit as beautiful. A titanium wedding ring can cost hundreds of dollars less than comparable rings made of the other precious metals. This is an important consideration for many couples who, due to budgetary limitations, may have had to buy the poorest quality gold rings or do without wedding rings entirely. Titanium rings are a good choice for the budget conscious.

Titanium wedding rings are also more durable than the traditional gold rings. Titanium becomes scratched less easily than gold and can stand up to more of the wear and tear that can result from a person wearing the ring all the time. This is especially true of the men’s rings as men tend to be much harder on their wedding rings than women are. Titanium is more resistive to heat and cold and extreme pressure than gold or platinum are. Think about it. Titanium is used in the space shuttle. It is an alloy that can take a beating.

Titanium is a very smooth alloy as well. Due to this, titanium wedding rings tend to be very comfortable and there is less chance of skin irritation. Also, there are some people who, due to an allergic reaction, can not wear gold jewelry at all. In the past the only option for them has been the far more costly platinum rings. Now titanium wedding rings are a viable alternative for these people.

When it comes time for you to choose wedding rings for yourself and your intended spouse, you may want to look into titanium. Many jewelers as well as online marketers carry an impressive array of titanium wedding rings that are every bit as lovely as their more traditional gold, white gold, and platinum counterparts. In an aspect of life that is full of tradition and similarity all through history, it’s nice that there are now more choices available. Titanium wedding rings are now just one more of those choices that may be right for you.

Snow crystals have always fascinated both the young and old. The formations of shapes that are symmetrical and intricate at the same time have both the mathematical and artistic imagination of the greatest scientists. Great mathematician and scientist Johannes Keppler was the first to formally put out a body of work on the fascination over the phenomenon of snow crystals. His paper was published in 1611. Following, Keppler’s work philosopher and mathematician René Descartes gave the world the first written description of the stages of crystal formation in snow.

Several scientists and philosophers have continued their pursuits. They have devoted time and effort in studying and understanding the dynamics that are involved in the formation of snow crystals. Photographers go to great lengths, such as attaching microscopes to their camera lenses, to document snow crystals. To further advance the study of snow crystals and their formation, a sophisticated device was developed. It is called the X-ray crystallography.

To better understand the morphology of the snow crystals, scientists grow crystals in controlled environments or laboratories. They are grown with edges of 0.1-0.3 mm. By using an X-ray machine, scientists map out the electron density of the crystal to produce its image.

Naturally, snow crystals or their components are formed at various temperature ranges. At 32 to 25 degrees Fahrenheit, thin hexagonal plates form. As the temperature lowers to 25 to 21 degrees Fahrenheit, needles appear. When the temperature drops to between 21 to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, they resemble hollow columns. Sector plates or the shape closest to the snow crystal images we know of, form at 14 to 10 14 degrees Fahrenheit. At 10 to 3 degrees Fahrenheit, dendrites, or the long, thin and highly symmetrical arms form. These snow crystals can show intricate and beautiful patterns unique from each other. Wilson Alwyn Bentley, renowned snow crystal photomicrographer, coined the phrase, “no two snowflakes are the same”.

Crystals provides detailed information on Crystals, Snow Crystals, Dermabrasion Crystals, Sugar Crystals and more. Crystals is affiliated with Freshwater Pearls.
